Christopher Radford is a professional wedding and portrait photographer based in Sydney Australia.
His studio is located in Hornsby on Sydney’s North Shore.

Christopher began his interest in photography from the age of 7 when his older sister started up her own black and white darkroom as a hobby. Having photography skills starting at such an early age is pretty rare.

After studying commercial photography and gaining a formal qualification he went on to be a full time photographer at the State library of NSW at the age of 23. Here he gained further skills in printing and photography. Using all types film such as microfilm, 5x4 sheet film and printing to archival standards on fibre based materials.

After working for a few photography studios in Sydney, he went on to start his own wedding
and portrait photography studio also doing high end photo restoration. Starting from a home based studio in Hornsby and then moving to the current location on Edgeworth David Avenue.

Christopher switched from using PC’s to Mac’s about 5 years ago and currently runs two high end Mac’s for all his digital editing and artistic creation.

Christopher is self taught in the art of wedding photography. He started photographing weddings when film was the  only available option and experienced the transition from film to digital. Photographing a wedding on film is very different to digital. You need to know your skills thoroughly as there is no preview an no computer editing involved. It is simply the best background to have in photography.

Over the years Christopher has photographed approximately 600 weddings. In the early days he worked alone, but now always works with an assistant or second photographer.

Christopher has two other photographers that photograph weddings for  and with him. Amber and Martin. Christopher is of course still available to photograph weddings with his award winning style.

His work has earned him respect amongst his colleagues and numerous international awards.
